Jirka Slacalek is an economist at the European Central Bank.
He studied economics at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore and the Charles University, Prague.
His research includes work on inequality, monetary policy, consumption and housing.
He is Secretary of the Eurosystem Household Finance and Consumption Network.
